Important Documents

  • In years past, important documents that would be needed by the heirs at the death of a loved one were issued on paper and could be inventoried and archived for easy retrieval.  That is no longer the case.  Some documents, such as property Deeds and car Titles, are still issued on paper, but many documents, certificates, agreements, memberships, etc. are issued in digital format.  Some are simply emailed to the appropriate person, but many others are posted in the issuer’s website and their retrieval requires the activation of an online account and the establishment of credentials (login IDs, passwords, two-type authentication procedures, biometrics, etc.).
